Hilary Shelton - Chief Executive Officer | email: [email protected]

Hilary works closely with the Board to set the direction of the organisation and leads the operational team. Hilary works to strengthen stakeholder relationships with education authorities, sector leaders and practitioners to position ACHPER Victoria to deliver on its mission. Hilary has a background in leading not-for-profit, member-based organisations and has strong strategic and governance skills. Hilary recently received a Victorian Government: Change Our Game scholarship to undertake the AICD Company Directors course and has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary).

Greg Schneiders - General Manager - Consulting | email: [email protected]

Greg’s career extends from being a leading HPE teacher, University Lecturer, Head of Department and Director of Sport in some of Australia’s leading schools and universities. A leader of people and teams, Greg has held many positions of responsibility, including teaching and oversight of multiple schools’ Health and Physical Education teams and numerous co-curricular sporting departments. In recent years, he has also been a university lecturer, at both undergraduate and master level programs, with a particular focus on curriculum, teaching pedagogy and practice within the Health and Physical Education domains.

Scott Bumpstead - General Manager - Services | email:  [email protected] 

Scott forms part of the ACHPER Victoria leadership team, leading the Professional Learning, Events, Marketing and Communication teams. Scott has a background in strategic planning, leadership, project management and operations across education, sport, fitness and wellness industries, with executive experience within association management. Scott holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Graduate Diploma in Education and a Master of Business Administration.

Adriana Pinder - Professional Learning Coordinator (VCE Portfolio) | email: [email protected]

Adriana brings considerable teaching and leadership experience in primary and secondary schools, both locally and internationally. Adriana’s recent school experience, deep understanding of curricula and capacity to lead projects has enabled ACHPER Victoria to grow and expand the quality of our resources and professional learning program.


Laura Widdowson - Events and Conferences Manager | email: [email protected] 
Laura brings experience as a PE and health teacher in both primary and secondary schools in Victoria, and the United Kingdom. With a passion for high quality health and movement education, Laura is also experienced in mentoring graduate and trainee teachers.

Jo Ritson - Professional Learning Coordinator, MACHPER | email: [email protected]
Jo brings both primary and secondary teaching knowledge along with her passion and support for high quality PE and Health Education programs both within and outside of schools. Jo has been an active contributor to ACHPER and was a proud recipient of the ACHPER Victoria HPE Primary Teacher of the Year Award in 2019.

Steph Patterson - Professional Learning Officer, VCE Resources | email: [email protected]

Still employed at a school, Steph’s background is in VCE student management, secondary HPE curriculum development with secondary science experience linking biology to human movement in HPE curriculum. 

Working hours: Currently on maternity leave


Renae Fraser - Professional Learning Coordinator | email: [email protected]

Renae has a background in teaching for the past 20 years in primary, secondary and TAFE settings, teaching across all levels of Health and Physical Education as well as Cert 3 VET Sport & Recreation. Renae has held a number of leadership and curriculum roles including Head of Department and has been involved with the HPE VCE curriculum through SAC reviewing and exam marking.

Administration & support:

Julia Davis - Administration & Office Coordinator | email: [email protected]

Julia has over 20 years of experience in office management and 13 years within the education sector. Julia is your first port of call and will help with all initial enquiries ensuring our members receive the absolute best service.  Julia is passionate and committed and provides integral support to ACHPER Victoria.

Christina Harry - Finance Officer | email: [email protected]

Christina has a strong background in finance and analysis and has provided pivotal financial leadership to ensure our financial and human resource policies and processes are robust and best practice.

Working hours: Monday - Friday  


Kim Tamas - Marketing & Communications Officer | email: [email protected]

Kim brings her marketing experience to ensure our messages and branding are communicated effectively and efficiently and leads our content marketing plan, member communications, sponsorships and website management.

Working hours: Monday – Thursday
